Holiday Spectacular 2008

Celebrate Me Home

December 9th 8:00PM

Carnegie Hall
57th Street & Seventh Avenue, New York City

After a year of innovative performances at Carnegie Hall, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and Fashion Institute of Technology, NYCGMC returns to Carnegie Hall once again on Tuesday December 9th 2008. This year, we’ll gather with our friends and family to celebrate the holiday season, while continuing our steadfast efforts to fight homophobia through song. As ever, our Holiday Spectacular will include an entertaining and varied mix of songs, celebrities, and surprises! There will be laughter, tears and inspiring messages of hope. With gas prices through the roof, ditch the car and spend an evening on Santa's Carnegie Hall Sleigh with a red-nosed reindeer and over 200 gay men of all shapes and sizes - you are promised the warmest of welcomes!

The Big Gay Sing

A Sing-a-Long Extravaganza

March 2009

A fun-filled and hilarious (yet somehow deeply glamorous) sing-a-long evening featuring all of your favorite gay songs down the years. Think karaoke with glitter: all the show-tunes you can sing, goodie bags, popcorn and word sheets, plus ABBA, Chicago, Frank Sinatra, Madonna, Kylie, Britney, Judy, Barbra, and many more! Dress up, meet the guys, and overindulge as NYCGMC brings the community together around our favorite tunes.

¡Bienvenido, New York!

June 2009

Think steamy summer nights, fabulous singing, hot dancing and the culmination of a year’s work by NYCGMC, as we shout out a big "¡Bienvenido!" to the diverse Latino communities of New York, gay and straight. Our show will proudly feature a vibrant selection from the rich classical, folk, pop and dance traditions of Spain and South America, including: salsa from Cuba; samba and bossa-nova from Brazil; tango from Spain; merengue from the Dominican Republic; a folk mass featuring Venezuelan musicians; and a Latino-flavored global pop-dance set, including songs by Gloria Estefan, Shakira and many others. We also plan to take a smallerversion of this show into the outer boroughs, during Pride month, in what we are calling our "World Tour of New York City".
