Manhattan Pride March

The Chorus will made its way down Fifth Avenue to Christopher Street in a colorful Rio-style Carnivale extravaganza that wowed onlookers throughout the whole city.

Cathedral St. John the Divine

The Chorus had the opportunity to sing at this amazing cathedral, the largest cathedral in the Northeast Corridor. We sang at Spirit of Pride, a service of thanksgiving & celebration on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of Stonewall.


Bloomingdales Diversity Day

For the second year the NYCGMC entertained associates at the 3rd Annual Diversity Day at Bloomingdales.

LGBT Pride Celebration and Diversity Program

The Chorus was invited to sing at the world headquarters of the New York Life Insurance Co. as part of their LGBT Pride Celebration and Diversity Program. The enthusiastic crowd cheered and clapped away their lunch hour, both at the NYC office and around the country as the full concert was webcast to other sites.


Brooklyn Pride

June 13th 2009

For the third year in a row the chorus marched in the renowned Brooklyn Pride Parade–the only nighttime pride parade on the East coast. Two years ago we were honored to be one of the event’s Grand Marshalls.


Museum Mile

June 9th 2009

A first for the Chorus, we participated in the annual Museum Mile celebration. Fifth Avenue is closed and crowds of people enjoy free entrance to several world-famous museums. At the Museum of the City of New York, visitors received an extra treat: the voices of the NYCGMC.


Queens Pride

June 7th 2009

Members of the Chorus marched in the Queens Pride Parade and then performed on the main stage to an enthusiastic crowd. Viewers around the world could watch the event as it was webcast live on Queens Pride Website.


Staten Island Pride Kick-Off Event

The Chorus marked its first ever performance at a Staten Island Pride event by singing at the kick-off celebration at the Hyatt Gardens Hotel.


Bronxville Rosebud Concert

Reaching out to our neighbors to the north, the Chorus performed a concert at the West 20 Center Congregational Church in Bronxville.


Bronx Pride Benefit

May 27th 2009

Held at the Bronx Botanical Gardens, this event honored various LGBT members of the Bronx community. The Chorus performed several songs as part of the swanky affair.


AIDS Walk

May 17th 2009

The Chorus performed for the Star Walkers this year at the AIDS Walk, as well as raising a substantial amount of money.


Broadway for a New America

April 13th 2009

This grassroots organization invited the Chorus to sing at an event at the Thalia Theatre in Symphony Space. The Chorus thrilled the audience with Beyoncé’s song "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)."


Defying Inequality

February 23rd 2009

Members of the Chorus had the pleasure to sing with Shoshanna Bean performing her signature song House of Love by composer Jeremy Schonfeld. Held at the Gershwin Theatre, Defying Inequality was a star-studded event that raised funds in support of marriage equality.


MasterCard Worldwide

Over 60 NYCGMC members were honored to sing at MasterCard's global headquarters in Purchase, NY, as the featured entertainment capping off a day of diversity workshops. What a great opportunity to share our message of equality in a new and highly visible way.


Village Care of New York Day Treatment Center

15 Choristers raised the roof for a diverse (and lively!) crowd at this vital center providing adult day health care for persons living with HIV/AIDS.


Rivington House

This residential center (part of Village Care of New York) offers comprehensive AIDS services in an encouraging and supportive environment—and NYCGMCers were on hand for a second year to bring holiday melodies to over 30 residents and staff members.
